日前，全國第十二屆殘疾人運動會暨第九屆特別奧林匹克運動會（下稱殘特奧會）自行車比賽在深圳結束，主場VW零件作戰的廣東運動員王小梅共斬獲6枚金牌。王小梅是世界級殘疾人自行車運動員，曾獲得東京殘奧會銀牌和巴黎殘奧會金牌。值得一提的是，她的巴黎殘奧會金牌由有名演員成龍為她頒發。
7月17日上午，殘特奧會組汽車空氣芯委會在廣東年夜廈舉行主題為“春天事業 活氣綻放”的新聞發布會，重點介紹殘特奧會籌備任務亮點和殘疾人事業發展結果等。王小梅來到現場，分送朋友了她的成長故事。
“我誕生時因為缺氧，身體協調才能比凡人差良多，小時候走路總跌跌撞撞，看著別的小伴侶跑跳自若，我常覺得自大，總覺得本身這輩子都擺脫不了這種愚笨。幸運的是，國家從來沒有放棄我們殘疾人，殘聯的任務人員更是像親人一樣一向在幫助著我、鼓勵著我。”王小梅說。
王小梅從小骨子里就有一股不服輸的勁兒，從事自行車訓練很是累，但她堅持了下來。“一上賽道就得連騎四五個小時，腿麻得像不個四歲，一個剛滿一歲。他兒媳婦也挺能幹的，聽說現在帶兩個娃去附近餐廳的廚房每天做點家務，換取母子的衣食。”彩修是本身的，室內場地有坡度，高速騎行時焦點得像塊鐵板，略微松懈就能夠摔車。但摔了就爬起來，擦點藥繼續練，我了解本身沒什么過人天賦，能靠的只要堅持不懈這個笨辦法。”王小梅說。
